Looking back, taking the purity and authenticity of the primitive types without having renounce to the plenty of content and which means hidden in every single object, in every single location, in every story. It’s just the manual pages of ancient history that designers Marco Vincenzi and Andrea Caturegli, in collaboration with the architect Paolo Frello, drew to create and give name to Armille, the spectacular and ethereal interior suspension realized for Martinelli Luce.

Its etymology, from the Latin language armus (that is humerus, the bone of the upper arm), leads us straight to ancient Rome, a time of prosperity and strength in which the brave soldiers of imperial Army played the part of protagonists of city life, fighting in cruel battles. On the wrist, but also on the arms and ankles they utilized to put on “armille”, concentric bracelets of numerous supplies (such as the metal rod, the metal elements detached, ivory, bone, amber and so forth. ), symbols of brilliant skill and irrepressible physicality.

From the circular shape of these precious jewels, born nowadays a decorative suspension, whose intensity is equal to the power of its original etymological meaning. All this is possible thanks to the diffused light from the white steel reflector opened in its upper element and, at the very same time, from direct sunlight diffuser in satin opal methacrylate.

Armille sees every thing, and every thing lights up. As a pupil, a brilliant light supply, the suspension signed Studiòvo shows that he has discovered its – history – lesson extremely well!
