Printing 3D styles is not a initial, yet Dutch studio DUS Architects is arranging on creating the 1st 3D-printed home which is meant to turn out to be a full-size canal home in Amsterdam, alongside the Buiksloter-canal. The method will be produced possible by employing a specific printer referred to as the KamerMaker (the following two pictures of the post). “This year we want to print the whole facade and the 1st room bit by bit. Then in the following months and years we will print other spaces.”-architect Hedwig Heinsman explained.

According to the project developers, the 1st floors and facades of the home will be printed from polypropylene, but the architects hope to sooner or later use bioplastics and plastic recycled on-web site. The KamerMaker ( Dutch for “room maker”), is 3.5 metres higher and consistently sits inside a shipping container. Each creating portion will be printed and tested at a scale of 1:20 ahead of being printed at a 1:1 scale with the KamerMaker. The resulting 3D printed Canal House will serve as a hub for further 3D architecture analysis- and more surprising projects!
