The Venice mirror functions a signature silhouette inspired by classical architecture, framed in reflective floral specifics that bring us back to a a lot more romantic era. The carefully crafted bevel perform, silvering and glass particulars make this mirror a true issue of beauty. Alas, it is broken and pieced back collectively in twisted way that gives it its contemporary edge. Used as a seeking glass, this unique mirror tends to make an eye-catching addition to the front foyer, dressing region, bedroom or bath, or perched above the fireplace. Alternately, this neutral decor piece can double as modern art, suited to any area and reflective of whatever style you claim as your personal. The Venice mirror measures 84 inches high and is accessible with gold leaf, silver leaf and copper leaf finish. Hanging A Mirror With Ribbon

<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I wanted to hang a mirror in the nursery but wasn't sure how I wanted to do it.  I thought about just gluing a hanger to the back and calling it lovely but I decided a ribbon would give me some more punch of color.</span><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; Sunburst In The Dining Room

width="640" /></a></div><br />I've been looking for a round mirror for the stenciled wall in the dining room but have had no such luck.  We tried a larger piece of art on that wall but the colors and patterns didn't mesh well with the stencil already there.  I needed something dark and pretty solid to stand out against the stencil.  I decided a sunburst mirror would fit this space nicely.  </div><div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></div><div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I made one for my <a href="http://decoratingcents.blogspot.com/2011/08/sweet-girls-room-reveal.html" target="_blank">daughter's room</a> with skewers but knew that one would be too small for this spot.  I wanted it to be thick and dark.  After seeing several versions, I decided to use paint sticks.  They are free and thick enough to make an impact on the wall.  I had some in the garage at home but knew I needed way more.  I grabbed an arm-full from Home Depot one day while I was out.  I also bought a 12 inch round beveled mirror from Hobby Lobby.  It was half off candles sale so it came to $4.00.  I had the rest of the supplies at home.</div><div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></div><div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: center;">Supplies used:</div><div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: center;">paint stir sticks </div><div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: center;">round mirror</div><div Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;">Let's get started.  I stained the front and sides of each stick.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div></div><div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;"></div><div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><div class="separator" width="640" /></a></div><br />After they were dry, I laid my sticks out to see what pattern I wanted and to get the spacing right.  You can see where I drew some guide lines to help but ended up not using the lines.  I just tried to get the space between them as even as possible.  Once this was done, I started gluing each one on the back of the mirror.  Remember to use tiny dots with gorilla glue.  It expands as it dries.  I marked a line on each stick to make sure they were the same distance from the edge of the mirror.  This row would be in the front so I had to cut the rounded, handle side off.  I just scored with wire cutters and snapped off the end.  <br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; the frame material we wanted.  Lowes has several options.  We chose to go with a fiberboard since it was lightweight and probably wouldn't warp over time due to the moisture in the bathroom.  We also chose the darker, wood-like board since we were painting the frame dark anyway to match the painted vanities.  </div><div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><br are 42" tall and 35.5" wide.  Our frame would sit right on top so these are the measurements we wanted the outside of the frames to be.  After choosing the frame material, we went over the cutting desk and found out their cutting machine only makes straight cuts, not 45 degree angles.  Um...how can that be?  What if I don't have a saw at home?  The associate pointed in us the direction of the miter boxes.  We grabbed one for this project and who knows what other projects I can come up with using this thing.  The associate also tried to talk us into buying a power saw which I was all for, but hubby wasn't going for it.  </div><div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: left;">First, Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Once they are dry, it's time to install.  Lay your boards out in the layout you need.  One by one using the liquid nails, adhere your boards to the mirror.  We started with the bottom piece.  This way we knew it was level and the other boards would rest on this one.  Apply the liquid nails near the middle and bottom of the board in a zigzag.  You don't want to get close to the top where it reflects in the mirror because you will see it and you don't want any oozing out there.  You have to work pretty fast here because the liquid nails sets quickly.  After the boards are set, you may find that the corners don't square up perfectly.  Use caulk to fill in the gaps and touch up the paint.</span></div><div
