Friday Five

1) We attended my sister in law's wedding this past weekend and I was the lucky one with this guy on my arm.

2) The new West Elm catalog came...nuff said.

3) I've had the whole week off from cooking.  Didn't have to turn on this thing once.

4) I've got the go ahead from hubby to add some finishing touches to a few rooms.  Like this one.

5) It's Good Friday!

Have a happy weekend everyone.  Until next week.

Pastels...

Time to celebrate a little color!
One of my favorite holidays is around the corner... Easter!!
These images get me excited for this time of year:

Hope you're enjoying some warm Spring weather!

Easter Printable

We were sitting down at dinner one night and the subject of Easter came up.  We had never discussed Easter with our daughter and the reason we celebrate this day.  We did the Jesus was born on Christmas discussion so now's a good time to explain this.  This conversation led me to write down some words that reminded me of Jesus and his death and resurrection.

I thought I would share.

Enjoy!

Pierce Designs & Associates...

Love this company's take on interior design.  Beautiful white/cream walls lend the perfect backdrop for beautiful antiques... timeless!

Their aesthetic takes you back in time!

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Paint Chip Easter Garland

What do you do with a stack of paint chips and a craft hungry 4 year old?  Make something of course.  This kid keeps my brain moving trying to come up with stuff for her to do.

This project was easy to do and my daughter enjoyed doing it.  I printed an egg shape and she traced it onto the back of the paint chips. This prevented any pencil lines on the front of your finished egss.  She cut out the eggs and taped them to a piece of ribbon.

It was hanging in the kitchen but she thinks it's perfect right on the mantle.

Friday Five

I wanted to start a weekly recap of things that have caught my eye, made me happy, or going on in my world throughout the week.

1) To start things off, I was drooling over the wood shim mirror that Allison over at House of Hepworths made.  It's huge at over 4 feet and beautiful.  This one is definitely going on my to do list.

2) I am dying to try these peanut butter balls from One Artsy Mama.  Something about peanut butter and chocolate together.  A true fan over here!

3) Made a trip to Ikea and finally picked up one of these bowls.  I've walked by the display so many times only to pick one up and put it back

4) Temperatures will make it into the low 70's this weekend.  I can see spring on the horizon.

5) I'll be working on more nursery stuff.  Counting down the weeks until we meet the little guy.

What you got going on this weekend?  Anything exciting?
